The World's Second Egyptian Collection

Founded in 1824, the Museo Egizio in Torino holds the second-largest collection of Egyptian antiquities after the museum in Cairo — over 40,000 artefacts, including the intact tomb of Kha and Merit and one of the finest papyrus collections anywhere.

The modern renovation, completed in 2015, is exceptionally well curated for a general audience. Easily worth two to three hours, and an easy walk from the apartment near Piazza Carlo Alberto.
