The Baked Potato, Taken Seriously

Poormanger opened in Torino in 2011 with a single idea: the humble baked potato, split and piled high with proper, often very Piemontese, fillings. It's since grown into one of the city's best-known quick-food names, with several locations around the centre — the Piazza Paleocapa branch sits right by Porta Nuova station.

It's fast food with real cooking behind it rather than a novelty — good for a casual lunch or an easy dinner without the full sit-down ritual, and genuinely popular with locals as well as visitors.
