Old Bistrot Charm, Classic Piedmont Plates

Open since 2005 near the city centre, Le Fanfaron is a small, densely-tabled bistrot that leans hard into its vintage identity — jazz and old cinema posters on the walls, and tables built from reclaimed 1980s/90s teak parquet that give the room a warm, lived-in feel rather than a styled one.

The kitchen sticks to the Piedmontese canon done well: carne cruda battuta al coltello, agnolotti del plin, bagna caoda, a proper gran bollito misto, and bonet to finish. It's a good pick when you want the region's classics without theatre, in a room that feels like it's been there longer than it has.
