Piscitella is a pastry shop and café opened in Torino in 2022 by the Piscitella family, pastry makers originally from San Marzano sul Sarno in Campania. Rather than adapting to the local repertoire, they brought their own tradition with them — this is one of the few addresses in the city for proper Neapolitan sfogliatelle and the rest of the Campanian pastry case.
The thing that made them a name in Torino is the cornetto fritto — a fried, flaky croissant unlike anything on a standard Piedmontese breakfast counter — alongside sfogliatelle, delizia al limone and coda d'aragosta. Good for a coffee-and-pastry stop that tastes like it belongs somewhere further south.
