A Bar on the Banks of the Po

Imbarchino is a bar and kitchen built right into the riverside of Parco del Valentino, on the banks of the Po near the Borgo Medievale. The building reopened in 2019 after a long closure and a community-led restoration, and today it works as more than just a bar — there's a small cultural programme too, with exhibitions, live music for emerging artists, and a free study room that draws local students.

The real draw is the setting: a terrace right at the water's edge, with the Po drifting past and views across the river toward the Gran Madre and Monte dei Cappuccini. It's a natural stop on a walk through the Valentino, whether for an aperitivo as the sun goes down or a quieter coffee earlier in the day.
